Owner and Team President, Blake Sinclair couldn’t be happier to have the coach he feels is the right fit for his organization. "Keith did a great job with the team from 2002-2007, so I know exactly what kind of coach I’m getting. He’s passionate about the team, the game and coaching. I’m confident he will bring the best out of our players” said Sinclair.

"I’m excited to be back” coach Schaefer said when reached for comment. “I feel like I’m coming home where I’m comfortable. I believe in creating a positive, team atmosphere where the boys are accountable to the team and their teammates. My hope is to develop these boys into quality young men.”

Schaefer, obviously excited to be back, went on to say. “Blake and I worked very hard to develop a great program with a winning attitude. My objective is to work extremely hard to maintain that tradition. I’m glad some of the players I brought to the team are still here.

Expect Schaefer to continue his fiery style of coaching. The coach’s two favorite quotes are, “hard work is not an option” and “I expect 100% from my guys, 100% of the time.”

“I like to have fun too, but it’s always a lot more fun, when you’re winning.”

The Knights new coach finished up by saying, “I love the black, orange and gold. To me they represent strength and power and I can’t wait to step on the ice as their coach again.”

Coach Schaefer will get that opportunity soon, as the first thing up for the old, new coach, will be the Golden Knights Elite Junior Conditioning Camp. The camp will be high level, fast paced and fun.
